If your getting a bit older and wiser like me then you realize it is much easier to read about an epic adventure or big expedition to far away mountains, tales of incredible endurance across the polar ice caps, unbelievably extreme stunts such as people flinging themselves off buildings or squeezing themselves into tiny caves… than actually going out and doing them!?
 I would like to mention that even when I was younger! I am sure I couldn’t have done hardly any of the wondrous undertakings found in my books. I do occasionally crawl out of my bean bag and flex my little body in one meaningless challenge or another. But, I do believe it is in the very best style to read such gripping books during one of those dark winter evenings while basting in front of my open log fire, never having to worry about getting frostbitten when exposing my naked hand to my cold beer glass!
However, if you are not ageing, but are researching your next big challenge or contemplating going out side to do some climbing or another similar seemingly pointless activity! You will find in these classic books an endless source of inspiration and motivation to get you out there.
Even if you do only make it down to the local crag or even the indoor climbing wall!
